Keyed Alike System – A Tailor-Made Solution for Unlocking and Access Control

The keyed alike system enables simple and secure access control, available only to authorized users. It is designed to adapt to your needs — it can be planned during the construction phase of a new building or gradually introduced into an existing infrastructure by replacing old cylinders.

Today, such systems are essential for hotels, companies, residential buildings, commercial facilities and many other applications. They are also highly practical for private households, whether for a house, holiday home or apartment. The main advantage of a keyed alike system is simplicity and security: one key can open your gate, house, garage and even basement.

System Benefits

  • High security – each user has access only to the areas for which they are authorized;
  • Practicality and easy access – different types of cylinders and products can be connected into one system, allowing everything to be unlocked with a single key;
  • Flexibility and growth – the system can be easily expanded in line with the development of your business or the changing needs of your household.

Thanks to domestic production and decades of experience, BANE MPI is able to provide a fully customized solution tailored to each user’s specific needs.

Types of systems

Keyed to Differ (KD)

With a keyed to differ system, each cylinder unit can be opened only with its own individual key. All BANE cylinder units are supplied with different keys, unless a keyed alike system is specifically requested.

Keyed Alike System (KA)

This system allows multiple cylinder units to be unlocked with the same key. It is ideal for residential buildings, for example for entrance doors, rear doors or garage doors. There is no limitation on the number of cylinder units that can be used with the same key.

Master Keyed System (MK)

A master keyed system is a system in which each cylinder unit has its own individual key, which cannot unlock any other cylinder unit within the system, while all cylinder units in the system can be unlocked with one master key.

Grand Master Keyed System (GMK)

A grand master keyed system is an extension of the master keyed system, where cylinder units are divided into two or more groups.

Each group is unlocked by one master key, while the entire system can be unlocked with one grand master key.

Maison Keyed System (MAIS)

This system is mainly used for apartments, residential buildings, office buildings, hotels and motels.

Each apartment, flat, hotel room or office has its own key, which cannot unlock any other apartment, flat, hotel room or office, but can unlock common entrance doors and shared auxiliary areas.

Construction Keyed System (CK)

This system is suitable when contractors need access to a building during construction works. Once the works are completed, the building owners can block further access for contractors by inserting a special key that cancels the previous combination.

Multi-Element Profile Keying System (MEP)

In this system, each key unlocks its own cylinder unit. Cylinder units are grouped into a master keyed system, while the combination of all master keyed systems forms a grand master keyed system.

Each individual key profile unlocks its assigned cylinder unit. By including all elements into this system, a unique grand master profile is created, capable of unlocking all assigned individual keyways.
